Cache In Trash Out
Cache In Trash Out involves Geocachers helping to clean up parks and other cache friendly places across
the world. Picking up trash you find along the trails, while Geocaching, is one way to participate in CITO.
There are also events such as “International Cache In Trash Out Day” and “Highway Adopt A Spot Programs”,
where the focus is to make a greater impact on a specific location. The San Antonio Geocaching Association
is committed to give back to the community in which we Geocache. We will sponsor several major Cache in Trash
Out Events yearly, and encourage area Geocachers to participate when ever possible.

San Antonio CITO Day 2008
The San Antonio Geocaching Association sponsored San Antonio Day 2008 hosted by AnthonyV. This was the second
year that area cachers have participated in Basura Bash, a city wide river clean up project. Together with
other local volunteers, over a thousand tires, and piles of garbage were removed from an area along the Medina
River. This area will be part of the Medina River Natural Area. The San Antonio Parks Department relies on
volunteers, and they thank everyone who showed up to help.

San Antonio CITO Day 2006
The San Antonio Geocaching Association sponsored San Antonio CITO Day 2006 hosted by AnthonyV and MsTeddybear.
Geocachers teamed up with Toyota’s Team Texas volunteers and together picked up piles and piles of trash. This
event was a big success thanks to all the hard working people who came out to join us. The San Antonio Parks
Department was very pleased with our efforts, and they look forward to having more CITO events in the future.
